“Do or do not. There is not try” …
So far, I’ve videoed 31 separate scenes that I’m including in my Dad’s family portrait. That’s amazing since his health is so fragile now. That doesn’t include alternate or additional takes.
I can’t formulate the words to say how much this documentary project has meant to me. And I hope has meant to him. My great regret – and I’ve always wanted to avoid those – is that I didn’t do this years ago. But I was in a different place – as was he. Equipment was not readily available to me then as it is now. And so on.
As a great philosopher once said – “Do or do not. There is no try.”
