A video project – 1612 Bohemia to 1985 Southwest Virginia & Northeast Tennessee…
I’m in the midst of a mammoth (for me) video project: my Father’s telling of a family history – thirteen generations – beginning with Andreaß Rierschenck (1612 Bohemia to Germany to Yorktown to Glade Hollow in Russell County of Southwest Virginia) … Dad has spent decades researching and drafting a written version, so the subject is one he holds close.
He’s not in good health, but this project is important to him. And for that reason – important to me on many levels.
This is only one phase of a larger plan to recount a multi-tiered history.

Fascinating
It’s a very personal project, Michael – but I think it has, at least in some ways, a universal appeal.
This is also my family too. I am from George W. Rasnakes line back through Jacob William Rasnake. I am so happy to find the family history here being saved for generations.
